Welcome to April!
Just as the world is emerging anew around me, so do our bodies in subtle and big ways.
This past year has been a year of big transitions. Truthfully, whenever I feel in the weeds of my own transitions, I pause to notice how, though this change is weighing on my body now, life is actually just a series of big and small changes.
From that space, two more truths emerge.
If life is always change, I have a 100% success rate on surviving them. Yay!
If life is change, maybe it’s worth actually taking the time to notice. To feel the ways I stretch, flex, move and stumble through would do me good.
As I continue to make my way back into client work, my life continues to complicate and clarify. Integrating life and work looks different now and I haven’t gotten it quite right. It’s an iterative process that requires great presence and attunement to self.
What’s working? What’s hurting? What’s a doable stretch? Where am I in my window of capacity and resilience? What needs to be grieved/changed/planted/witnessed?
And from there, things shift.
One shift is in the way I work. I’m no longer offering 6-month coaching packages and have moved to a pay-as-we-go model that offers greater flexibility and consent. You can read more about this big change here.
And if you want to book a session, you can do so here.
Another change- I’m starting up a new somatic series with my pal Melanie. We’re offering a few workshops on somatic skills for parents. Truthfully this comes from my own deep need for somatic community in parenthood. I’ve been coaching parents for years in my private practice and it’s been so interesting to walk my talk and a supportive community is needed. Melanie is just the person I want to be walking with. Keep an eye on my Instagram and blog for more on our partnership soon.
Learn more about her work as a death doula here.
And sign up to be notified of the workshops here.
Our first will be on the 16th at 1pm EST and we’ll be working with overwhelm. Click here for more info and to register. They’re free and they’ll be recorded.
So, that’s what’s sprouting over here, along with Mae who’s now 6 months old!
Bring on the transitions,
Jo
